Er diente dem Österreichischen Staat als Steuerprüfer und war Vorsitzender verschiedener Untersuchungskommissionen zur Prüfung der Verhältnisse in Böhmen und Österreich-Schlesien. 1751 wurde er nach Ausbruch des Siebenjährigen Krieges zum Generalkriegskommisar ernannt, konnte aber auf Grund des schlechten Gesundheitszustandes dieses Amt nicht mehr korrekt ausführen." ],
