"Educated in Yorkshire, Michael Tait went on to gain two doctorates, in Oxford (1975) and Manchester (2010). After twenty years of teaching in London, at primary and secondary level and in State and independent schools, he became Headmaster of Westville in 1987. During his thirteen years, the school grew from 35 to 150 pupils and moved from the town centre to its present site in Middleton. He now works as an educational consultant and freelance scholar and translator."
