He holds a dual-Bachelor degree in Composition and German Studies from Bard College and its Conservatory, a Master’s and a Doctoral degree in composition from The Juilliard School. His composition mentors are Joan Tower, George Tsontakis, Samuel Adler, and Robert Beaser.
