Nach seiner Tätigkeit als Richter am Amtsgericht Coburg konnte er ab Oktober 2005 erstmals hinter die Kulissen des höchsten deutschen Gerichtes in Karlsruhe blicken: Für drei Jahre war er an den Bundesgerichtshof abgeordnet. Hieran schloss sich eine einjährige Abordnung an das Oberlandesgericht in Bamberg an. Im Dezember 2009 kehrte Dr. Berg als Gruppenleiter zur Staatsanwaltschaft Coburg zurück. Ab dem 1. Juli 2013 war bis 2016 Richter am Oberlandesgericht Bamberg. Seit dem 1. Sep. 2016 ist er am BGH tätig." ],
