Bei Martin Wallenrodts Tod umfasste die Bibliothek wieder etwa 2.000 Werke. 1721 hat die Familie Wallenrodt die Bibliothek endgültig dem Staat überlassen. 1909 wurde die Sammlung in die Universitätsbibliothek Königsberg übernommen, sie umfasste zu diesem Zeitpunkt ca. 10.500 Bücher und Schriften. 1945 wurde die Universitätsbibliothek Königsberg und mit ihr die Wallenrodtsche Bibliothek zerstört, erhalten gebliebene Bestände wurden weit verstreut." ],
