April 1888 in Frankfurt gegründet, zunächst als Beteiligungsgesellschaft für Nahverkehrsbetriebe im Frankfurter Raum. Alleinige Aktionärin war ab 1912 die Elektrizitäts-AG vormals W. Lahmeyer & Co. Am 1. Januar 1955 übernahm die Straßenbahn Frankfurt am Main den Betrieb der FLAG. Die Aktiengesellschaft wurde 1956 aufgelöst. Die dann Taunusbahnen der Stadt Frankfurt genannten Linien von Heddernheim nach Oberursel-Hohemark und Bad Homburg (seit 1971 nur noch bis in den Stadtteil Gonzenheim) wurden zu rein kommunalen Straßenbahnlinien und sind heute als Linien U2 und U3 Teil des Frankfurter Stadtbahnsystems (A-Strecke)." ],
