Ab 1950 zunächst Privatdozent für Photogrammetrie im Bauwesen, ab 1952 als außerplanmäßiger Professor, ab 1954 bis zu seiner Emeritierung 1979 als Ordinarius (Nachfolger von Otto Lacmann) für Photogrammetrie und Kartenkunde (ab 1975 für Photogrammetrie und Kartographie) am Institut für Photogrammetrie (ab 1970 Institut für Geodäsie und Photogrammetrie) in der Fakultät IV für Bauingenieurwesen (ab 1970 Fachbereich 7 für Bauingenieur- und Vermessungswesen) an der Technischen Universität Berlin." ],
