Nach Kriegsende hält er am Futurismus fest und ist mit achtzehn in Fiume Korrespondent des Corriere Mercantile. Zurück in seiner Heimatstadt wird er Redakteur – und dann Chefredakteur – der Giornale di Genova. Die Leitung von La Prora, einer Zeitung des genuesischen Faschismus, im Jahr 1942 führte dazu, dass er nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg aus dem Orden der Journalisten gestrichen wurde. Anfang der 1950er-Jahre nahm er seinen alten Beruf als Chefredakteur des Corriere Mercantile und der La Gazzetta del Lunedì wieder auf und führte einen erbitterten Kampf gegen die Bauspekulation, die sein Ligurien entstellte.
