Müller war, nach einem Studium an der TH Wien, während seiner gesamten Zeit in Innsbruck (1921-1939) an der HTL Innsbruck tätig und die letzten zwei Jahre Direktor der Institution – bevor er 1939 aus politischen Gründen aus seinem Dienst entlassen wurde. Müller wanderte nach Brasilien aus, unterrichtete in Porto Alegre an der Universidade Federal Rio Grande do Sul und widmete sich vor allem dem Schul- und Kirchenbau.
