Nach dem Kriege war er als Vermessungsingenieur tätig und wurde Mitbegründer des BDVI. 1951-1971 wirkte er im Kommunaldienst der Ruhrmetropole Essen für die Neuordnung von Grund und Boden am Wiederaufbau der Stadt aus den Trümmern der Nachkriegszeit. Ab 1957 Lehrauftrag für Bodenwirtschaft und Bodenordnung an der TH Aachen, seit 1960 als Honorarprofessor. Seit 1959 unterrichtete er auch an der Universität Bonn, als Lehrbeauftragter für Stadterneuerung und Bodenwirtschaft – Aufgaben, die er bis zur Vollendung seines 68. Lebensjahres erfüllte. Nach seinem aktiven Dienst in Essen wirkte Bonczek als Direktor des von ihm aufgebauten Instituts für Bodenordnung, Stadtsanierung und Stadtentwicklung der Neuen Heimat in NRW." ],
