Ab 1954 (ab 1950 nebenamtlich) Professor für chemische Technologie an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. 1954-1963 Direktor am Institut für organische Chemie an der Deutschen Akademie der Wissenschaften; 1958 dort zusätzlich Direktor des Instituts für Fettchemie sowie 1958-1961 Direktor des Instituts für Dokumentation. 1953 mit den Nationalpreis der DDR II. Klasse ausgezeichnet; 1959 mit dem Vaterländischen Verdienstorden in Silber." ],
